CLEVELAND—Audition appointments are now available for The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, the Blossom Festival Chorus, The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses.
This is a wonderful opportunity for vocalists of all ages to join these prestigious ensembles and perform alongside The Cleveland Orchestra in some of the most anticipated concerts of the season. From monumental choral works to unique learning experiences to the family favorite Holiday Concerts, the 2025–26 season promises to be an exciting one for The Cleveland Orchestra Choruses and Director Lisa Wong.
Auditions are May 18, 20, and 21 for The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and the Blossom Festival Chorus; April 30, May 7, and May 8 for The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, and May 6 to 8 for The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Chorus and Children’s Preparatory Chorus. Appointments are required and can be made online.
The Cleveland Orchestra’s 2025–26 season at Severance Music Center heavily features The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, starting with the U.S. premiere of Bernd Richard Deutsch’s Urworte, conducted by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst. More highlights include epic choral compositions like Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Handel’s Messiah, and Britten’s War Requiem. The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus also joins the Orchestra for Verdi’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall and the Adrienne Arsht Center of the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County in January 2026.
The Blossom Festival Chorus performs with The Cleveland Orchestra twice this summer at Blossom Music Center. First, they perform Orff’s dramatic Carmina Burana, then they lend their voices to score of Disney’s 1994 animated film The Lion King.
In addition to these exceptional performance opportunities, The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus is offering the Shari Bierman Singer Fellowship, a program designed for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing music degrees. The fellowship offers financial support of up to $3,500, mentorship from Cleveland Orchestra staff, and valuable career development experiences. Interested students can apply online.
It’ll be another fun season for The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, which is made up of area high school students passionate about expanding their music education. This ensemble collaborates with The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra on an annual concert and performs in the community in partnership with the Children’s Choruses. In 2026, the Honor Choir works with guest clinician Dr. Sandra Snow, professor of choral conducting at Michigan State University. Members may also perform with the adult choruses at Cleveland Orchestra concerts throughout the year.
The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses have two big performances with The Cleveland Orchestra during the 2025–26 season. These young singers join the Blossom Festival Chorus for Carmina Burana this summer at Blossom Music Center and The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for Britten’s War Requiem next spring at Severance Music Center. That’s in addition to community concerts and United in Song!, a unique celebration of voice during the Orchestra’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival.
